Digital tools for learning
Digital tools for learning
Using digital tools for school work and learning is very useful for many reasons.
One of the reasons is because its so easy to find things on the internet. You can just go on Google or any other search site and type in what you want and then it’ll immediately show up sites of your choosing or if you want an image, just go on click the images tab and it’ll show you all the images related to your topic. If you want a location, go on the maps tab and type in where it is you want to see and it’ll show you all the locations of the type of building/location.
the second thing is that it saves on paper. Paper is an important material in our world and is not unlimited. Sooner or later, we will run out of trees to turn into paper and we will also lose oxygen because of the extreme loss of trees so instead of writing on paper, you can just type on the keyboard like I am doing as I write this and if you're worried about the how your teacher is not going to see your work, you can either print it on paper or you can type it on an Google docs in Google drive and share with your teacher if he/she has an email address.
And the third reason is that its quicker and faster to type then write on paper for some people and not only that, but its also neater and easier to read and that's not all. You can also use it for more things than just typing and searching up things. You can also use it to create presentations, drawing, spreadsheets, planning and many more and some devices are portable so you can bring your learning anywhere as long as you have a wi-fi network.
Overall, digital tools are very useful and is an quicker, faster and more efficient way for some people and besides it small downsides, it will be improved in the near future and everybody might have one and use it for learning as well.

Church Word Mosaic
We completed a collaborative activity following a discussion about the image of the Church. The wordle shows that the church is more than a building. It is the PEOPLE!

Ratios with dye
In maths, we are learning about ratios. We added drops of two colors into the water. I put 6 yellow to 3 red or 6:3 and it made a orangey beer color. if I double the amount I added it would be 12 to 6 Or 12:6. Tripled will give me 18:9 etc.

The giant icicle
On a dark and stormy night, the rain was smashing against my window as if it was trying to break it apart, the wind howled like a wolf did at the moon and the moon was covered by the dark rain clouds as if it was trying to camouflage.
It was cold but it was warm for me because of the excitement and anticipation of the soccer tournament. As I was about to rest my head, suddenly, it started to hail and it formed a giant Icicle that crashed into the house and I watched as it burrowed into the core of the earth, creating a massive earthquake (I know the earth would explode but it would be too boring if it ended in the first paragraph).
I was shocked as I saw my house crumbling bit by bit, piece by piece and chunk by chunk. The walls were splitting into many bits and pieces and the roof crashed down on me but I quickly dashed to the door which had fell to the ground and escaped without a scratch. I was in shock and horror, what will I do? Where will I go? Will I live on the streets? Then, I knew what to do and that was…. to burn the icicle.
I went to the nearest guns and ammo store to get myself some Molotov cocktails and was surprised that there was no one inside. The shop owner’s gone he left every single gun and equipment in the store. I thought “What a dumb shop owner.” And kind of stole all the Molotov cocktails and other fire weapons he had. I went back and threw a cocktail. The fire roared as it hit the top of the Giant sharp ice but it had no effect. I kept on throwing one after the other but it didn’t even make a dent! I tried the flamethrower but even the power of the intense fire only took out 1/100th of it. I tried everything! Bullets, arrows, blades, oil but nothing ever worked so I had to use my secret weapon… The napalm bomb.
The bomb was 4M long, just big enough for the hole. I dropped it and sprinted as fast as I could, away from the bomb just in case I get blasted by the intense air. The explosion sky rocketed into the air and the blast left a giant smoke cloud that made it impossible to see. Once the smoke cleared away, I went to check the hole and the icicle was gone and the earthquake/aftershocks went away and that was the end of that disaster.
